In 1920, a Filipino entertainer by the name of Luis Borromeo who just returned from North America came back to the Philippines and organized what became the first Filipino bodabil company. He coined the company “vod-a-vil” which became popularly known by its Filipinized name Bodabil. This dark purple shade with strong green sheen evokes the colorful costumes of harlequin figures.
